DARK TOMORROWS, a short story collection

I'm happy to announce that three of my LESSONS drabbles are now featured in an excellent short story collection, DARK TOMORROWS. The three drabbles that you can find here are:

Fortune Teller
Hangman
S.O.L.

It's an honor to be included with a bunch of wonderfully talented writers, many who have become good friends over the past few months. If you're looking for a collection of dark stories from some awesome writers, I highly recommend checking it out!

  1. Hi,

I just found your blog from Amanda Hocking's blog. So I looked over your blog and 3 things came to mind:

    1) You only blog about your work. I would be more interested in your blog if you also posted other topics, such as how to write horror, or favorite horror films of all time, etc...

    2) I have no idea what "drabbles' is, can you explain it on your next blog post.

    3) You have a chinchilla! Cute! Here's another author who has a chinchilla. He writes children fantasy.

Anyway, I decided to follow your blog. Although I wish you would post more frequently.

  2. Hi, John! Thanks for following and the tips. I really do need to blog more, and it probably wouldn't hurt to blog about other topics every now and then. I'm a bit more active on my Twitter account these days.

A "drabble" is a story that's 100 words long. I didn't really write a lot of horror until I put out the first LESSONS book last year. I mostly write slice-of-life short stories, but had so much fun with the drabbles that I'd like to try my hand at something a bit longer in the horror department.

    Thanks again! :)
